An email is sent for a reading-room request when:

An email is sent for a photoduplication request when:

  • When an order is cancelled, an Aeon default "ItemCancellation" email will be sent out with reason for cancellation.

  • When a patron is asking for permission to publish, and staff found the work is in Public Domain, a customized "Permissions response - Yes" email will be sent out.

  • When an order is for Harvard theses or dissertations, a customized "Thesis Response - Standard" email will be sent out.

  • After an invoice is generated, an Aeon default "ItemInvoice" email will be sent out.

  • After a payment is received, a customized "Thank you for you payment" email will be sent out.

  • When an order has been delivered, a customized "PRES - Order Delivered" email will be sent out. (NOTE: not the Aeon default "ItemDelivered" email)

We have received your request. Harvard theses and dissertations do not circulate, but we can often deliver them in PDF format. The cost to digitize and create a 
PDF is $1/page. Delivery via file-transfer site is $10.00. Normal turnaround time is about three weeks from receipt of pre-payment.

In order to give an accurate estimate for the reproduction of a dissertation or thesis, the pages and illustrations (if any) must be counted. We have recalled 
the title you requested from the Harvard University Archives and will be in touch again as soon as we have all the necessary information to issue an estimate. This 
could take up to three weeks. Thank you for your patience.
