AEON is a special collections circulation and management system created by Atlas Systems (also creators of ILLiad). Currently, HCL has licensed an AEON instance, which is hosted at Atlas. The system's use at Harvard may expand in the near future. AEON itself is not supported by LTS, but LTS does support its interactions with other LTS Systems.

  • AEON / HOLLIS Classic add-on: screen scrapes HOLLIS Classic for citation information. This tool was developed by Atlas. LTS will provide notice of HOLLIS Classic service packs and version upgrades to Aeon staff. Aeon staff are responsible for testing integration with the new software.

  • Harvard Special Collections & Archives Class Request Tool: This system started as a Library Lab project that would 1) allow instructors to request assistance/space/time for teaching with primary sources at Harvard's archives and special collections repositories; and 2) assist library staff in establishing more effective and centralized management of seminar requests for classes. The system was selected to be part of the Scaling Innovation Initiative and is now in production. Functional support is the responsibility of the libraries, with Emilie Hardman as the contact. During the course of development, Atlas was contracted to develop an add-on for Aeon that interfaces with the Class Request Tool.
